शनिवार (१८ जुलै) रोजी महेश रसाळ या राष्ट्रीय हॉकी खेळाडूने हा गंभीर प्रकार माहिती अधिकाराच्या माध्यमातून समोर आणला होता. याबाबतचे पत्र त्यांनी देखील महापालिका आयुकत हर्डीकर यांना ई-मेलव्दारे पाठवले होते. मात्र त्याची दखल न घेता महापालिकेने कोरोना काळात कोणत्याही व्यक्तीचे किंवा ठेकेदाराचे बील अदा न करण्याचे ठरवले असताना देखील पिल्ले अॅकडमीला १४ लाखांचे बिल अदा केले.
पिंपरी-चिंचवड महापालिका आणि विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकॅडमी यांच्यामध्ये जून २०१९ मध्ये समजस्य करार करण्यात आला होता. (आदेश क्र. क्रीडा/६/कावि/४६९/२०१९/दि.१०.०६.२०१९) या करारानुसार विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकॅडमीला नेहरुनगर येथील मेजर ध्यानचंद हॉकी स्टेडियम (पॉलीग्रास) हे महापालिकेने फक्त पिंपरी-चिंचवड हद्दीतील खेळाडूंना प्रशिक्षण देण्यासाठी सकाळ ७ ते १० आणि संध्याकाळी ४ ते ६ या वेळेत मोफत उपलब्ध करुन दिले होते. तसेच स्टेडियमचे इतर व्यवस्थापनाचे असे एकूण दर महा २ लाख रुपये अॅकॅडमीला महापालिका अदा करत आहे.
मात्र झालेल्या करारातील अ पत्रातील अटी व शर्ती धाब्यावर बसवून या अॅकॅडमीने पिंपरी-चिंचवड शहराच्या हद्दी बाहेरी विद्यार्थ्यांना प्रशिक्षण दिल्याचे उघड झाले आहे. आणि या बाबतची माहिती त्यांनी माहिती अधिकारात देखील न देता लपवल्याचे उघड झाले आहे. नेमुन दिलेल्या वेळे व्यतरिक्त इतर वेळेत ज्या खाजगी शाळा, विद्यार्थी आणि अॅकॅडमींचे बुकींग येते विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकॅडमीने त्यांना अधिकार नसताना देखील त्यांच्याकडून दर महा ५०० रुपये आकारुन महापालिकेचे फसवणुक केली.
तसेच विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकॅडमीसोबत महापालिकेने करार करुन १ वर्ष उलटून गेले आहे. मात्र या अॅकॅडमीतील जबाबदार विक्रम पिल्ले किंवा त्यांनी नेमुन दिलेले प्रशिक्षकांनी अद्याप पिंपरी-चिंचवड हद्दीतील खेळाडुंना उत्तम प्रशिक्षण देऊन त्यांचा संघ देखील तयार केलेला नाही. तसेच एकही संघ जिल्हा, राज्य किंवा देश पातळीवर खेळण्यास पाठवलेला नाही. अॅकॅडमीने करार झालेल्या या पाच वर्षांच्या काळात दरवर्षी महापालिकेच्या परवानगीने मेजर द्यानचंद स्टेडियम नेहरुनगर येथे राज्य व राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील हॉकी स्पार्धा आयोजित करणे बंधन कारक आहे. मात्र अॅकॅडमीने कुठलीही राज्य किंवा राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील हॉकी स्पार्धा त्या ठिकाणी आयोजित केलेली नाही.
यामुळे विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकॅडमीने महापालिकेचे २ लाख प्रतिमहिना प्रमाणे आजतोपर्यंत एकूण २४ लाखांची आर्थीक फसवणूक केल्याचे समोर आले आहे. यामुळे महापालिकेने विक्रम पिल्ले अॅकडमीसोबतचा करार रद्द करुन स्वत: नेहरुनगर येथील मेजर ध्यानचंद हॉकी स्टेयिमची सुत्र हाती घेत पिंपरी-चिंचवड हद्दीतील हॉकी खेळाडुंच्या प्रशिक्षणाची सोय करावी अशी मागणी महापालिका आयुक्त श्रावण हर्डीकर आणि सहाय्यक क्रिडा आयुक्त संदिप खोत यांच्याकडे केली आहे.
